About the Cause

​

The Grand Banqueting Suite has been providing premium world-class wedding catering for just under 10 years now and the

COVID-19 outbreak has been the first time in history that we have had to so suddenly come to a standstill. 

 

Many of you were expecting to attend weddings at The Grand over the next few weeks and unfortunately won't be able to do so due to restrictions in place by the government. There has been a massive craving across Yorkshire for The Grand's Wedding Food!! 

 

Now, you'll be able to enjoy a full wedding feast, in the comfort of your own home!

 

We at The Grand have decided to come together in a collective effort to satisfy this craving and at the same time give back to our local community. In our first week, we partnered with Lightwaves Community Trust and donated £4,500 to their community project and to set up a food bank - helping the most vulnerable socially isolated people during this difficult time.

In Week 2 we stepped up our game, worked even harder and through your generosity, we sold out the site in an astounding 1 and a half minutes! Amazingly we managed to raise £5000 which will be donated to the Fisabilillah Burial Service who are providing free or highly subsidised burial services to those who aren't able to afford even a basic funeral for a loved one.

For Week 4 of 'Shaadi-Khana' we have been approached by many charities in need of our help! As soon as we know which charity we'll be donating the proceeds to, we'll let you know!
